Entering from A617 Newark on Mansfield Road, turn left at the traffic lights carry on through Upton, observing the ’strict’ 30 speed limit in Upton. On leaving Upton you will come to a hill before your descent into Southwell, bear right at the top of the hill onto Normanton Road and travel approx 100 yards, the entrance to the glamping pods are on your left hand side, marked by the Southwell Retreat sign and the wooden gate.

Approaching from Mansfield towards Newark on the A617, travel through Kirklington and turn a sharp right onto Corkhill Lane, signposted Southwell, Normanton and follow for approx 1 1/2 miles, you will see Reg Taylors Garden Centre on your right hand side then come to a crossroads, carry on over the crossroads for approx 500yrds, you will see signs for Caudwell house on your right and then immediately after the car park entrance for this, there is a section of grass, a tall hedge row and we are located on the right hand side, directly after the tall hedge. The entrance is marked by our sign Southwell Retreat.

Approaching from Nottingham via Southwell Road/Nottingham Road/Southwell Road through Lowdham and towards Halloughton go towards the centre of Southwell, proceed past Brackenhurst University on your right hand side, at the T junction turn right towards the town centre, at the mini roundabout take your 2nd exit (turn right) pass the Minster on your right hand side, follow the road round passing the Bramley Apple Pub and Hearty Goodfellow Pub on your left.

Take the left hand bend round passing the Coach House Pub on your left following the road towards Upton. Pass the BP garage on your right, follow the road round a right hand bend past the Workhouse and turn left onto Normanton Road, Southwell Retreat is approx 100 yards on your left, marked by the signpost Southwell Retreat.
